Anyone Know This?
Have you ever taken the time with pen and paper to list out the Patriarchs and how long they lived on the earth during the period between the creation of the world and the flood? For example, Adam lived 930 years. Seth lived 912 years, so on and so forth. You have to be careful because each man's life overlaps his offspring's and you have to be careful to net out the overlaps when appropriate. If you do this you will come up with a specific number of years that span the time from creation to the flood. I have my number -- what do you get?

I could cheat and give you the answer cuz I have a cheat sheet. :-D But I won't. I'll try to figure it out myself and get back to you, but if memory serves, isn't it around 1450 something or 1485?

Dawn,
I figured you might have one of those charts...
:-)
It is actually more than 1,485.
The thing that gets me about this is two men's lives overlapped during this epoch -- Adam and Methuselah.
What you bet they chatted about things?
In Him,
Eye

I can only imagine the things that Adam and Methuselah spoke about and the things Adam must have taught Methuselah. Adam probably passed on some precious written records to Methuselah and he probably passed that written and oral history on to Noah.
I'm so thankful for those whom God has led to study biblical chronology. Especially those men who are unwilling to compromise the word of God. I think you know what I mean.
